Paris-based startup Kraaft has secured €13 million in Series A funding to accelerate its mission of transforming construction industry communication. The investment, led by Dawn Capital, marks a significant milestone for the AI-powered collaboration platform founded in 2020.
Kraaft’s platform addresses long-standing inefficiencies in construction by providing a messaging-style app that connects field and office operations. The solution offers real-time communication, photo geolocation, document management, and AI-driven workflows designed to be as intuitive as popular messaging apps.
The construction sector, representing €12.5 trillion in global output in 2023, has historically lagged in technological adoption, with IT spending of only 1-2% of revenue. Kraaft’s platform has already demonstrated substantial impact, tripling its user base to over 1,000 companies and facilitating more than one million monthly messages.
“Despite giant machines and space age materials, construction is powered by people,” said Norman Fiore, Co-founder and General Partner at Dawn Capital. “We believe Thomas, Marc, and Cédric have built a powerful solution that is seamless to adopt and loved by workers and managers alike.”
Key achievements include:
Support for five languages
- Partnerships with leading European construction firms
- 15% improvement in handling change orders
- Free plan for small businesses
Looking ahead, Kraaft plans to introduce new features in 2025, including project management tools, API integrations, and AI-driven automation to further enhance productivity in the construction sector.
