Coimbatore’s thriving IT sector is set for further expansion with the announcement of a new private IT park. The Tanny CAG Tech Park, planned for development in Saravanampatti, will add 3.5 lakh square feet of prime office space to the city’s growing tech infrastructure.
Developed by Tanny Shelters, the park will offer a mix of purchase and lease options. Of the total space, 1.5 lakh square feet will be available for sale, while the remaining 2 lakh square feet will be leased to IT companies. This flexible approach aims to cater to diverse business needs, from startups to established corporations.
Sivaraman Kandasamy, Managing Director of Tanny Shelters, stated, “Tanny CAG Tech Park will attract more IT companies to start their operations in Coimbatore. Our state-of-the-art amenities and strategic location make this an ideal choice for businesses.”
The new IT park is part of a larger trend of private sector investment in Coimbatore’s tech ecosystem. Other ongoing projects include:
- A ‘knowledge centre’ by Kumaraguru College of Technology (Rs 275 crore investment)
- A massive IT Park proposed by KGISL Infrastructures
- Additional IT parks by K P R Group, L and T, and Rathinam Institutions
These developments collectively signal robust growth in Coimbatore’s technology sector, creating opportunities for job creation and economic expansion. The influx of new office space and tech-focused infrastructure is expected to attract talent, foster innovation, and encourage the formation of new startups.
As Coimbatore solidifies its position as a key player in India’s IT landscape, the addition of Tanny CAG Tech Park represents another significant step forward. With construction set to begin soon, the project is poised to contribute to the city’s growing reputation as a thriving tech hub in Tamil Nadu.
