Thirukkural verse (in Tamil script)

உறுபொருளும் உல்கு பொருளும்தன் ஒன்னார்த்
தெறுபொருளும் வேந்தன் பொருள்

Meaning:

“The wealth that is acquired, the wealth that is saved, and the wealth that is taken from enemies all belong to the king (or leader).”

Startup application:

This Thirukkural can be interpreted in the context of modern business and startup culture as highlighting the importance of resource management and strategic leadership.

Examples:

1. Resource allocation: Leaders must wisely manage all company resources, whether they come from revenue, investments, or competitive advantages gained over rivals.

2. Financial responsibility: CEOs and founders have a duty to manage the company’s finances responsibly, considering all sources of income and assets as resources to be used for the benefit of the entire organization.

3. Competitive strategy: Startups should be aware of market dynamics and be prepared to capitalize on opportunities that arise from outperforming competitors.
